Privacy Policy
Exit Node Studio LLC ("we", "us") makes software and games. This policy explains what personal data we handle on our websites, in our apps, and when you buy from us. We do not sell personal data, we do not show ads, and we do not use tracking cookies or analytics on our sites.
1. Our websites
- Hosting. Our sites run on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address, browser, and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- No analytics, no tracking cookies.
2. Email
If you email us (for example at hello@exitnode.studio), we keep your message and email address to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. Our email is hosted by Proton.
3. Waitlists
If you join a waitlist on one of our sites (for example on runnerdesk.app), we store your email address and the time you joined in a database hosted by Cloudflare. We use it only to send you one email when that product is ready to buy. We do not use it for anything else and we do not share it. After we send that email, we delete the list. To leave the list sooner, email hello@exitnode.studio.
4. Purchases
Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record, collects your payment and billing details under Paddle's privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, country, and order details so we can deliver your license and support you. We never see your full card number.
5. RunnerDesk (macOS app)
- No analytics, no crash reporting, no tracking.
- Update checks. RunnerDesk checks for updates. Each check sends your IP address, the RunnerDesk version, and your macOS version to our update server, so it can offer the right update.
- Your code and files stay on your Mac. Scripts you run and their output are not sent to us. Network requests you write in RunnerDesk (for example HTTP cells) go only to the hosts you choose.
- If we add license activation, this section will describe exactly what it sends before that version ships.
6. Why we use data (legal bases)
To send the launch email you asked for when you joined a waitlist (consent), to provide products and support you asked for (contract), to keep our sites and services secure (legitimate interests), and to meet tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
7. How long we keep it
Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (generally up to 7 years). Email: as long as needed to handle your request and keep a record. Waitlists: until we send the launch email, then deleted. Server logs: kept by our hosting providers for a limited time.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, or California), you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@exitnode.studio. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
Our products are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
10. Changes
We will update this policy when what we collect changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
